First developed as a prototype by Hans J. Wegner in 1955, Carl Hansen & Søn put the CH88T chair into production decades later.

The steel frame, with straight back legs, supports an oval-shaped wooden seat and characteristically shaped wooden backrest. Formed from steam-bent wood, the backrest features a slight curvature which provides a natural resting place for the arms.

This blend of materials, combined with a minimalist design, results in a light, organic, industrial expression. The CH88T chair is stackable, which offers a valuable benefit for contract environments.
