Created by Jean Prouvé in 1939, the Fauteuil de Salon exhibits the French engineer's distinctive structural design language. The armchair is understated yet full of character, thanks to its generous cushions and oiled solid wood armrests.

The furniture design was rediscovered in Prouvé's archives and is produced today by Vitra in a contemporary colour palette.

Materials
Seat and backrest:  polyurethane filling; cover in fabric or leather. Armrests:  solid wood with oiled finish; natural oak, smoked oak or American walnut. Base:  bent sheet steel and tubular steel, powder-coated (smooth). Further armrest and base finishes available upon request.

Fitted with glides for carpet. Glides for hard floors available upon request.
