The Story
The addition of a fabric shade to the emblematic Funiculi lamp was first conceived in 1979 by LluĂs Porqueras. The updated design respects the original design to the fullest, with only the proportions updated. This new version the cloth on the shade allows light to filter through and illuminate a space.///Description
The structure is the same as the original design, making it easy to adjust to the desired height.
The name FuniculĂ comes from the concept of a âfunicularâ action - moving up and down. The mechanism for raising and lowering the lamp uses a pair of clips which make it very easy to change the height of the shade to meet the userâs needs. The shade itself can be rotated through 360Âș to point the beam of light wherever it is required.
The base of FuniculĂ is covered in rubber on the bottom, avoiding the cold contact between the metal and the floor and adding stability to the lamp.
