Maija pendant

Maija is an iconic pendant light by modernist Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara. The design conveys the sense of light escaping through slatted blinds.///Description
Originally designed in 1955, the Maija lamp is characterised by the honeycomb structure of stacked metal discs that filter out its inner light. The inspiration for the lamp came from Baltic cities in Winter, where the streets are illuminated by light radiating out from the windows of warm, content homes and shops.

Available in two sizes, the Maija pendant lamps feature an interior white glass diffuser and exterior in a choice of colours. The mid-century modern lighting design is also available as a table and floor lamp.
