Designed by Omega Workshops the Omega Window rug is part of Christopher Farr Editions, a collection of collaborative rugs from some of the worldâs most interesting and iconic artists and designers, both past and present.///Description
Founded and headed by the artist and critic Roger Fry, Omega Workshops was the visual arts arm of the Bloomsbury Group, set up to bridge the gap between fine and decorative arts. Based in Fitzroy Square, London, Omega Workshops gave artists opportunity to generate income from the design of textiles, furniture and household items â all marked with the omega symbol, rather than the name of the artist. The workshopsâ aesthetic is Post-Impressionist, with touches of cubism and fauvism visible in many of its textile patterns.
