An oval coffee table designed by Eero Saarinen as part of his 1957 Pedestal collection, which presented a simple solution to the visual clutter of table and chair legs. Available to shop in a choice of marble finishes.///Description
In order to streamline the "ugly, confusing, unrestful world" that Saarinen observed beneath chairs and tables, Saarinen designed a collection of furniture with fluted pedestal bases. Now a design classic, the Saarinen Tulip low table is a popular choice for living rooms and offices.
The Saarinen coffee table shown features a white Rislan base and oval marble top. Also available in a wide range of top and base finishes, please enquire for more information.
The Knoll logo is located on the underside of the base. A nameplate with the KnollStudio logo and the signature of the designer is also located on the underside of the top or on the top support plate.
Materials
Base: Original Saarinen design, constructed from moulded, cast aluminium with white Rilsan finish. Top: Bevel-edged satin smooth marble in gloss or satin finish. Marble coated with transparent polyester to avoid use-associated stains.
