Designed as a sweeping arc drawn in the air, supported by two branching legs, Standing lamp No.1 is a simple, functional form which strikes a sober pop of colour into the room.///Description
A continuation of the Hanging lamp concept presented at their first exhibit, Muller Van Severen designed Standing lamp No.1 with the same uninterrupted, sweeping line which looks to be drawn in the air with a crayon, only this time with two smaller lines as legs to keep the light upright.
Simultaneously offering a basic, functional form, while being a naïve, playful design, Standing lamp No.1 seems to gracefully and inconspicuously meander into any space, while tickling that sense of curiosity found in remarkable design.
