Created by British designer Anthony Dickens, Tekiò was inspired by traditional Japanese paper lanterns. These everyday objects are made from washi paper, using ancient artisan techniques which can be traced back to the 14^th century.

Today, Santa & Cole work with a producer in the Japanese city of Mito to create the specialist paper for these contemporary paper lights. The Tekio pendants combine the traditional with the avant-garde, in an elegant and practical design well suited to residential and contract settings.
